Paul Gray #2

April 8, 1972- May 24 2010. That was the lifespan of the "essence" of slipknot. Paul Gray, bassist for slipknot he left the world, leaving behind shoes to big for any other person in the world to fill. And as band members stated, " he left behind absolute love. Everything Paul did he did for everyone around him, whether he knew you or not." Paul Gray was the person in the band who wanted everyone to get along and not fight, he was the essence of slipknot.

The Band

The Band Slipknot was formed in 1995 in Des Moines, Iowa. So the band members of this band, are not your usual band mates. First of all there are 9 of them. and they are numbered.

#1- Joey- Drummer
#2- Paul- Bassist
#3- Chris- Custom Percussion
#4- James- Guitar
#5- Craig- Sampler
#6- Shawn- Custom Precision
#7- Mick- Guitarist
#8- Corey- Vocals.

This is the pictures of the bands first masks they used in there first rotation. But more about the band, what can i say i love them Slipknot is and always will be my favorite band. The reason I love slipknot so much is because there lyrics have meaning and they don't take any trash from anyone. Like Corey said in one of his interviews about what slipknot is when they were first starting, "Slipknot is the noise inside every teenagers head." they are amazing, and i truly believe in that post, if im mad mad, sad, depressed or anything, i turn up the slipknot and everything feels better. Slipknot hasn't always had its current nine members. They had different members when they founded the band and released their first album MFKR(Mate Feed Kill Repeat) which the current band members do not really count as an album of their own.

 Welcome to my blog, as you can tell this is a blog about Slipknot. Over the next while I will be posting about all of the band members, my opinions and thoughts about them and how they are in the band. I will also be talking in general about the band and events that have happened to the band.
